Lyonix is the first Global Internet eXchange (GIX)  in Lyon and region Rhône-Alpes .

It allows operators and Internet Service Providers from our region to peer by connecting just in one point, avoiding remote infrastructures .

This GIX is managed by a non-profit trade association founded by Lyon & Grenoble Internet actors, located in the neutral IN2P3 (CNRS institute, La Doua, Villeurbanne,69) and open to all internet actors who would like to be connected (operators, ISP, service companies...)

We're in a hurry because Internet is exploding but unfortunatly, with a very bad connected network. More particularly in France.
